The Correlation Server is the search engine of IBIS. It uses highly specialized algorithms to compare the image signatures of an exhibit against all other relevant exhibits on a specified IBIS network. The resulting correlation scores provide a ranking of the potential matching candidates according to similarity. This ranking capability allows operators to rapidly search through hundreds of thousands of exhibits, and to focus only on the candidates with the highest probability of a match.
Storage and Management
The Data Concentrator provides scalable storage and backup services for the exhibits acquired using BRASSTRAX and BULLETTRAX acquisition stations. It can store from thousands to millions of exhibits. There is great value in this data, and the Data Concentrator implements rigorous mechanisms to guarantee its preservation and validity over time.
